Our Story: From Afghan Fields to Your Cup

I used to work in the exhibition section of Afghanistan's Ministry of Agriculture. My job was to showcase our country's produce — and every time, I stood in front of the most incredible organic fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, and spices, watching visitors taste something they'd never experienced before. Afghanistan grows some of the most authentic, flavorful food on earth. But because of our country's situation, the world never really got to know it.

When I moved to the USA, I couldn't stop thinking about that. How do I share a piece of home with the world? I started with saffron — the spice that's been ranked the world's most valuable, year after year, and one Afghanistan quietly does exceptionally well.

What I learned quickly: most people have no idea what to actually do with saffron. So it sits in a cabinet, unused. But saffron has real wellness benefits — and I discovered that firsthand. On the days I felt tired and drained, I'd stir a few threads into my green tea or Earl Grey. It became my ritual. That's the moment Delite Saffron Tea was born — not as a product idea, but as something I actually needed myself, made shareable.

This is Afghanistan, in a cup. I hope you love it as much as I do.
